{"id":1862,"date":"2023-04-15T20:02:19","date_gmt":"2023-04-15T20:02:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/icom-georgia.mini.icom.museum\/?page_id=1862"},"modified":"2023-04-15T20:03:27","modified_gmt":"2023-04-15T20:03:27","slug":"colette-dufresne-tasse-award-2023","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/icom-georgia.mini.icom.museum\/en\/colette-dufresne-tasse-award-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"Colette Dufresne-Tass\u00e9 Award 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>The date for submission of applications for the CDT Award is 29th May 2023.<\/h3>\n<p>In 2015, CECA created the Colette Dufresne-Tass\u00e9 Award for Research in Education and Cultural Action\u00a0in order to stimulate research activity amongst its members, accelerate education and cultural action development, and in this way, improve what the museums offer to their publics.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Description<\/strong><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-9692 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/ceca.mini.icom.museum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2022\/11\/English_PCDT_2023-300cadre-214x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"214\" height=\"300\" \/>The award is offered to the author of the best empirical research report presented at the CECA Annual International Conference who has submitted before the Conference a text written according to the characteristics described below. It consists in a contribution of up to 400 Euros for covering the winner\u2019s accommodation costs and inscription fees, but not the travel expenses. The beneficiary\u2019s text is also published in Museum Education and on the CECA website.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Characteristics that the texts must have:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe works eligible for the award may be submitted in English, French or Spanish and must be between 35,000 and 70,000 characters in length (spaces included).<\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"csc-textpic-text\">\n<div class=\"csc-textpic-text\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The structure of the papers must conform to the following sections:<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<table border=\"1\" width=\"700\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"7\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td bgcolor=\"#5b9bd5\" width=\"25%\" height=\"11\">\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><b>EPIGRAPH<\/b><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td bgcolor=\"#5b9bd5\" width=\"75%\">\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><b>HEADING CONTENT<\/b><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td bgcolor=\"#deeaf6\" width=\"25%\" height=\"55\">\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><b>01 Title<\/b><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td bgcolor=\"#deeaf6\" width=\"75%\">\n<p align=\"LEFT\">The title should be short, clear and concise. It should include the fundamental terms of the research and describe the work carried out and how the results obtained can be applied.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"25%\" height=\"46\">\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><b>02\u00a0<span lang=\"en-US\">Cover page<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td width=\"75%\">\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The cover page should include the necessary information to identify the research report.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td bgcolor=\"#deeaf6\" width=\"25%\">\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><b>03<span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0Summary\/abstract<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td bgcolor=\"#deeaf6\" width=\"75%\">\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span lang=\"en-US\">This section summarizes the research in a maximum of 500 words. It should include the research problem, the objectives, the methodology used, the impact of the results and the conclusions.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"25%\">\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><b>04\u00a0<span lang=\"en-US\">Key words<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td width=\"75%\">\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span lang=\"en-US\">These are five or six relevant concepts of the work that serve to define and identify the research.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td bgcolor=\"#deeaf6\" width=\"25%\">\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><b>05\u00a0<span lang=\"en-US\">Table of contents<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td bgcolor=\"#deeaf6\" width=\"75%\">\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span lang=\"en-US\">This is a fundamental section since it facilitates the structure of the research. It is important that it is paginated and well numbered<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"25%\">\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><b>06\u00a0<span lang=\"en-US\">Justification<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td width=\"75%\">\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The justification should highlight the interest of the work carried out, something that was already done in the project. It includes the problem and the research question.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td bgcolor=\"#deeaf6\" width=\"25%\" height=\"58\">\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><b>07\u00a0<span lang=\"en-US\">Theoretical framework and state of the question<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td bgcolor=\"#deeaf6\" width=\"75%\">\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span lang=\"en-US\">It is built from the knowledge of the models and theories related to the research.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"25%\">\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><b>08\u00a0<span lang=\"en-US\">Objectives<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td width=\"75%\">\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The objectives of the report can be general and specific. Their wording in the infinitive should be clear\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td bgcolor=\"#deeaf6\" width=\"25%\">\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><b>09\u00a0<span lang=\"en-US\">Methodology<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td bgcolor=\"#deeaf6\" width=\"75%\">\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Methodology refers to the set of procedures that are used to answer a wide range of research objectives.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"25%\" height=\"158\">\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><b><span lang=\"en-US\">09.1 Method<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td width=\"75%\">\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><u>Sample Method<\/u><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">: the sample depends directly on the study problem posed. It is a matter of describing who participated in the research.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><u>Techniques and instruments<\/u><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">: in this section we explain how we obtained the data for the research and describe them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><u>Data collection procedure<\/u><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">: this describes the phases in which the research process was carried out.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><u>Data analysis<\/u><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">: finally, this section explains what type of analysis was performed to arrive at the results presented in the following section.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td bgcolor=\"#deeaf6\" width=\"25%\">\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><b>10\u00a0<span lang=\"en-US\">Results and discussion<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td bgcolor=\"#deeaf6\" width=\"75%\">\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span lang=\"en-US\">At this point we identify the main results obtained in the research, relating them to the initial objectives.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"25%\">\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><b><span lang=\"en-US\">11 Conclusions<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td width=\"75%\">\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span lang=\"en-US\">This is one of the most important points of the research report, since it contains an in-depth analysis of the results obtained and their implications.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td bgcolor=\"#deeaf6\" width=\"25%\">\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><b>12\u00a0<span lang=\"en-US\">References<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td bgcolor=\"#deeaf6\" width=\"75%\">\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span lang=\"en-US\">This section includes the references of authors and works used in the text, taking into account the APA norms (6th edition).<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"25%\">\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><b>13\u00a0<span lang=\"en-US\">Annexes<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td width=\"75%\">\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The annexes include the complementary material used during the research.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><strong>Evaluation<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"csc-textpic-text\">\n<p>The text is submitted to a three-member reading committee (appointed by the CECA Board) that evaluates it according to the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Rigor of the research described;<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Its contribution to education or cultural action;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To be eligible, one should:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Be an individual or institutional member of CECA, and have paid the inscription fee for the year one applies;<\/li>\n<li>Have carried out the investigation for one\u2019s own institution or for a group of them including one\u2019s own;<\/li>\n<li>Have carried out the research oneself. If colleagues or students collaborated, they are considered as co-authors and mentioned as such, but the 400 Euros and inscription fee are granted only to the CECA member who applied or to a research team member explicitly designated before the opening of the International Conference;<\/li>\n<li>The proposed piece of research should be original and not have been published elsewhere.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Note : CECA Board members could not apply.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Steps<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Sending a proposal for a research communication as indicated on the CECA International Conference website, and specifying that one is applying for the award;<\/li>\n<li><strong>For the deadline for submission 29th May 2023<\/strong>, sending electronically to\u00a0<em>prixCDT[at]gmail.com<\/em>\u00a0a text presented according to the previous characteristics;<\/li>\n<li>One month after having been informed, sending to\u00a0<em>prixCDT[at]gmail.com<\/em>\u00a0a photocopy of a travel ticket (air plane, train, bus).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Note : Proposals or texts that do not comply with the preceding characteristics or that are sent too late are not considered.<\/p>\n<p>Winner or not, on the condition of having had her\/his communication accepted, the candidate delivers a 20 minutes oral presentation of her\/his research.<\/p>\n<p><strong>List of granted awards<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>2016<br \/>\n<\/strong>Rosa Mar\u00eda Herv\u00e1s Avil\u00e9s; Antonia Mar\u00eda S\u00e1nchez L\u00e1zaro; Magdalena Castej\u00f3n Ib\u00e1\u00f1ez.
