These awards recognize individuals, groups, or civil society organizations in Europe that have successfully mobilized public action to protect endangered heritage.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Award Prizes<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Golden Award<\/strong>: \u20ac10,000 and a certificate.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Silver Award<\/strong>: \u20ac5,000 and a certificate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Eligibility and How to Apply<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The awards are open to citizens, groups, or organizations from any Member State of the Council of Europe (47 countries). Applications must detail a successful campaign to save endangered heritage in their country or another European nation.<\/p>\n<p>Submit your completed <strong>Application Form<\/strong> to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Email<\/strong>: <a rel=\"noopener\">sepi@ellinikietairia.gr<\/a> and <a rel=\"noopener\">info@europanostra.org<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Deadline<\/strong>: 3 February 2025<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Award Ceremony<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The winners will be announced and celebrated during the <strong>Delphi Economic Forum 2025<\/strong> (9-12 April 2025) in the historic city of Delphi, Greece.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Past Winners<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>2023<\/strong>: Romanian NGO <em>ARA &#8211; Architecture. Restoration. Archeology<\/em> for their campaign to protect Ro\u0219ia Montan\u0103 in Romania.<\/li>\n<li><strong>2024<\/strong>: St\u00e9phane Bern, renowned heritage advocate, received the Golden Award, while the Silver Award went jointly to <em>Archilochos \u2013 Cultural Association of Paros<\/em> (Greece) and <em>Haydarpa\u015fa Solidarity for Society, City and Environment<\/em> (Turkey).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Founding Partners<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The Costa Carras European Citizens Awards were launched in 2023 by Europa Nostra and ELLINIKI ETAIRIA, with support from the A.G. Leventis Foundation, the Delphi Economic Forum, and the European Investment Bank Institute.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>About Costa Carras<\/strong><br \/>\nCosta Carras was a visionary historian and conservationist, a true champion of Europe\u2019s shared heritage. As Vice-President of Europa Nostra, he helped build a pan-European heritage movement that emphasized human rights and cultural values.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About Europa Nostra<\/strong><br \/>\nEuropa Nostra is the leading civil society federation for the protection and promotion of Europe\u2019s cultural and natural heritage.
