Join us at the collaborative conference hosted by DEMHIST, ICOM MPR, ICOM Georgia, and Tbilisi Museums Union:
“House Museums at the Crossroads: Empowering Social Change”
We extend an invitation for your participation in the joint conference organized by DEMHIST, ICOM MPR, ICOM Georgia, and Tbilisi Museums Union, focusing on the theme “House Museums at the Crossroads: How Do We Empower Social Change?”
We welcome proposals for papers, posters, workshops, and more through our open call. Membership with ICOM or DEMHIST is not a prerequisite for submission, although preference will be given to ICOM members.
Historic House Museums serve as custodians of historical and cultural legacies, preserving local stories and memories. Our vision encompasses these institutions evolving to become catalysts for social change in our rapidly transforming world. How can house museums actively engage with their communities? What collaborative efforts can drive transformative progress? What opportunities and challenges lie ahead as we work towards common goals to empower social change?
